Our Mission

Born out of tragedy and grief, the Michael T. Goulet TBI and Epilepsy Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting education about the life-altering effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Epilepsy.

Through Michael’s story and case history, our all-volunteer organization engages communities across Maine by participating in a wide range of events, offering educational presentations, and providing one of our most recognized initiatives—fitting and distributing multi-sport helmets to the public.

Our mission is clear: to prevent similar tragedies through proactive education, outreach, and advocacy.

We hope that through the work we accomplish, families with circumstances like ours and Michael’s might have a chance for a different outcome. Awareness, prevention and improved treatment for Seizure Disorders and Brain Injuries are our hope; and we believe where hope grows miracles blossom.

We are a registered Maine based Nonprofit, Incorporated in February 2011 and approved IRS 501-C-3. Donations can be made by clicking DONATE or directly to Saco Biddeford Savings Institution in the name of “Michael T. Goulet TBI and Epilepsy Foundation.“
